{"id":1070,"date":"2026-09-15T11:34:22","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T18:34:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pioneerunion.org\/ms\/2026\/09\/15\/2026-area-2\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T11:34:22","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T18:34:22","slug":"2026-area-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pioneerunion.org\/ms\/2026\/09\/15\/2026-area-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Notice of Intention to Appoint School Board Trustee for Area 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><b>Notice of Intention to Appoint School Board Trustee Pioneer Union Elementary School District<\/b><\/h1>\n<h2><b>Deadline to Apply: October 7th, 2026<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to a lack of sufficient candidates for the upcoming special school board election in Trustee Area 2, the Governing Board of the Pioneer Union Elementary School District intends to appoint a qualified individual to the Governing Board, pursuant to Education Code section 5328.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The current Board member will remain in the position until the November 2026 election has been held and certified and the newly appointed individual has been sworn in to fill the Board position. The Board position is a four-year term.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Required Qualifications<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be 18 years of age or older;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be a citizen of the State of California;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be a resident of the Pioneer Union Elementary School District;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be a resident of Trustee Area 2;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be a registered voter; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not be disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the State from holding civil office.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interested persons shall submit a completed Board Member Application providing their name and address, confirming that they meet the required qualifications.
