Notice of Intention to Appoint School Board Trustee Pioneer Union Elementary School District
Deadline to Apply: October 7th, 2026
Due to a lack of sufficient candidates for the upcoming special school board election in Trustee Area 2, the Governing Board of the Pioneer Union Elementary School District intends to appoint a qualified individual to the Governing Board, pursuant to Education Code section 5328.
The current Board member will remain in the position until the November 2026 election has been held and certified and the newly appointed individual has been sworn in to fill the Board position. The Board position is a four-year term.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Be 18 years of age or older;
- Be a citizen of the State of California;
- Be a resident of the Pioneer Union Elementary School District;
- Be a resident of Trustee Area 2;
- Be a registered voter; and
- Not be disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the State from holding civil office.
Interested persons shall submit a completed Board Member Application providing their name and address, confirming that they meet the required qualifications. Board Member Applications and a map of Trustee Area 2 can be downloaded from the Pioneer Union Elementary School District website [ here: https://www.pioneerunion.org/administration/board/ ] or obtained from the District Office located at 1888 Mustang Drive, Hanford, CA 93230.
