Special Education

At the Pioneer Union Elementary School District, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Our Special Education program provides individualized services designed to meet the unique academic and social needs of students with disabilities. We believe that true student success is a collaborative journey, which is why we prioritize strong partnerships with families and guardians through open communication and active participation in every step of the special education process—from initial evaluations to the development of tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ongoing progress monitoring. Our goal is to educate our students to positively impact their educational performance while empowering students to become independent, confident learners and active participants in our school community.

*The Pioneer Union Elementary School District works in conjunction with the Kings County SELPA to provide supports and services to our Special Education students. A copy of the Kings County SEPLA plan can be found on the link below.*
