8th Grade

The following is a list of helpful items for students in this grade to use. It is NOT required for you to provide these items for your child.

  • One 2″, 3-Ringed Binder – no zippered binders please
  • 2 packs of 3-ring binder dividers – different colors preferred
  • Student planner (one will be provided by the school)
  • Lined Paper (standard, letter-sized, white, college ruled, 3-ring punched)
  • Graph Paper (standard, letter-sized, white, 1/4″ quadrilateral ruled, 3-ring punched)
  • No. 2 Pencils (keep 4 in backpack at all times)
  • Blue or Black ball-point pens
  • Red ball-point pens (for correcting work)
  • Multi-color pack of highlighters (5 color: green, yellow, pink, orange, and blue)
  • Colored pencils (12-24) – No crayons
  • Fine-point dry-erase markers
  • 12″ Ruler (with both Imperial and Metric scales)
  • Storage pouch (to keep loose items in backpack)
  • Glue sticks
  • Reinforcers for hole-punched paper
  • Clear sheet protectors for 3-ring binders
  • Calculator (with exponential function, +/- key, % key and square root key)
  • 1 Package of lined 3 x 5 cards (flash cards)
  • Corded Earbuds with case
  • (5) composition notebooks- no spiral (Science, Math, STEM, ELA, and Health
    Science Careers)
  • Sketch Pad or Sketchbook (Art Students Only)
